World Milk Production Responds to Record Prices, Improving Weather
Atten Babler recently had an article analyzing world milk supply trends featured in “Dairy Today – Know Your Markets.” As dairy markets continue to become more globally integrated it is important to monitor supply trends in all major production geographies. New Zealand and Europe have rebounded from adverse weather conditions to significantly increase YOY milk production in the second half of 2013 as record or near record milk prices were reached. The U.S. looks to follow suit and increase production as Midwest weather conditions improve.
